Emma Rouda, LCSW

Therapist

Before becoming a therapist, I was a certified survivor advocate and taught about consent, healthy relationships, and sexual health. I supported survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner abuse, stalking and sexual harassment in community, college, and high school settings to understand what constitutes abuse, know their rights & options, and cultivate safety, healing, and hope. I have spent the last few years providing therapy and support groups to new moms, pregnant folks, and people with fertility struggles. My therapeutic style is casual, collaborative, and empowering. I am passionate about bringing subjects that are normally stigmatized, silenced, or shamed out into the light, so that collective acceptance and healing can begin.

When I'm not working, I am frequently… petting cats, discussing how unjustly small pockets in clothes marketed to women are, and eating chocolate chip pancakes.

We could be a great fit to work together if you… would like to be kinder to yourself, struggle to say "no" to others, or feel stuck in your healing and would like to try EMDR (more information at emdria.org).
